The Egyptian Premier League season will be postponed for a further month, FilGoal.com has learnt. After more than seven months of uncertainty, the domestic competition was due to kick off on September 17, ten days after the Super Cup game between Ahli and ENNPI. The decision came as a result of a meeting between FA and Ministry of Sports officials on Saturday and is largely influenced by the recent saga involving the Ultras Ahlawy fan group. Ahli's die-hard supporters announced they ‘will not allow domestic football to resume unless justice is served against suspects of the Port-Said disaster', where the Reds lost some 74 fans last February. The ultras, who interrupted Ahli ‘s training and broke into the FA's headquarters to make their point, had also protested against holding the Super Cup game on Sunday. It remains to be seen whether they will hold firm on their refusal for Sunday's game or will be satisfied with the fresh delay of the league.
