Striker Dominique da Silva is set to be fined by Ahli for picking up a red card after his side's 3-1 Champions League victory over Stade Malien. The Mauritanian frontman engaged in a scuffle with the Malian side's goalkeeper after the final whistle of the round of 16 return leg, a row that prompted the referee to show both players the red card. Now Ahli will have to do without him in their upcoming group game against Mazembe of DR Congo as the 22-year-old forward is poised for a four-match-ban imposed by CAF. “According to our regulations, Dominique will be fined for needlessly causing us to lose his efforts in our next game,” Ahli football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz told FilGoal.com. “Any player wearing the red shirt should be disciplined or else he would be sanctioned. “Up till now, we were not notified by any suspension for Dominique from CAF as I hope it would not be a lengthy ban.” In a similar fashion, Zamalek striker Razak Omotoyossi had been shown red after the final whistle of his side's away game at Africa Sport last month as he was handed a four-match ban. Ahli have qualified for the group stages after overcoming Stade 3-2 on aggregate, which saw them drawn against arch-rivals Zamalek in Group B, also including Mazembe and Ghanaian champions Berekum Chelsea.
