Egypt's General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) reported record revenues of 11.6 billion Egyptian pounds in the 2024/25 fiscal year, up 38 per cent from 8.4 billion pounds the previous year, it said in a statement on Monday. The figure exceeded budget estimates of 10.5 billion pounds. Net profit jumped 51 per cent to 8.6 billion pounds from 5.7 billion a year earlier, nearly triple the budgeted forecast of 2.96 billion. Expenses for the year reached 2 billion pounds. SCZONE said the performance underscored the resilience of its operations and adherence to governance standards despite global geopolitical challenges.
