ENPPI's fears were increased after league holders Ahli were stranded by the local fighting following their Champions League tie at Stade Malien. Ahli were forced to stay for four extra days after their 1-0 defeat, with ENPPI declaring that their ‘squad's safety is more important that winning the tie'.
