Egypt Cup champions ENPPI are facing a dilemma ahead of their Confederation Cup away game with Mali's Cercle Bamako this month. ENPPI, who have a 3-1 first-leg lead, have been reluctant to make the trip after Cairo neighbors Ahli were stranded by local fighting in the Malian capital following a Champions League game with Stade Malien. The petroleum club also revealed that they have been warned not to travel by Egyptian authorities, a few days before the date of the fixture. “Egypt's Foreign Ministry advised us not to go to Mali in the meantime,” ENPPI chairman Mohamed Badr told FilGoal.com. “They say there is a possibility war could take place there. “We will forward the ministry's warning to CAF, hoping they would move the fixture outside Mali.” Meanwhile, Morocco's Wydad Casablanca have agreed to fly to Mali as they face AS Bamako in the Confederation Cup second leg as well. The Egyptian FA's website issued a statement forwarded to CAF, requesting the full safety of the ENPPI contingent in case they made the trip.
