A double from Ivorian striker Vincent Die Foneye helped ENPPI register a 3-1 victory over Mali's Cercle Olympique Bamako in the CAF Confederation Cup last 16 first leg. Midfielder Amr Al-Halawani opened the scoring for the Egypt Cup champions with an early penalty as Die Foneye doubled the lead on 27 minutes. Die Foneye completed his double with the third goal 15 minutes from time, only for Ismail Diarra to spoil a perfect scoreline by pulling one back for the visitors three minutes later. The second leg takes place in a fortnight at the Malian capital.
