Ahli defender Wael Gomaa has recuperated from injury in time to take part in the Champions League clash against Stade Malien, whereas Abdullah Al-Saied and Sayed Moawad remain doubtful for the game. Gomaa, 36, has been sidelined for months with a calf injury sustained late in January as he is now set to make his first continental appearance this season. “Wael Gomaa is now fit for the game but Abdullah Al-Saied and Sayed Moawad have a 50% chance to play,” Ahli doctor Ihab Ali told reporters on Tuesday. Full-back Moawad and midfielder Al-Saied were ruled out of recent home and away games against Ethiopian Coffee due to hamstring and thigh injuries respectively. Ahli, who beat Coffee 3-0 on aggregate, face Stade Malien away from home on 27 April in the round of 16 first leg.
