Ahli football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz echoed his club's dismay with refereeing after another error by the linesman cost the Reds two points at Military Production. A 1-1 draw was marred by a number of controversial decisions from referee Medhat Al-Houfi, most notably his assistant's failure to spot the clear offside that led to Production's goal. “A draw against Petrojet with an offside goal and a draw today with another offside goal…what's going on?!” Abdul-Hafiz said after the game. “It's the assistant referee's main job to spot offsides, and every time it's against us. We are either wrongly denied or harmed by a decision from the linesman.” Abdul-Hafiz was referring to a goal scored by Petrojet Mohamed Koffi earlier this season in a 2-2 draw, as well as another decision against his side in the 1-0 win over Ismaili.
