Gabon grabbed a last-gasp 1-0 victory over Senegal in the CAF U-23 Championship semi-final to claim a shock berth to next year's Olympic Games in London. Substitute Andre Poko scored the priceless winner in the 120th minute to hand the African minnows their first-ever Olympics ticket. Gabon made a superb comeback from their opening defeat to Egypt as they drew with South Africa before pegging back Ivory Coast to win 3-1 and reach the semis. Senegal still have two chances to make the Olympics as they face the loser of the other semi-final clash between hosts Morocco and Egypt in the third-place playoff. The fourth-placed team will then meet an Asian side in another playoff.
