We don't fear Egypt, says Ivorian midfielder Kone Moussa Ivory Coast's U-23 midfielder Kone Moussa is confident his team can overcome a 'tough test' against Egypt on Wednesday
Ivory Coast U-23 midfielder Kone Moussa said his side have no worries ahead of Wednesday's game against Egypt in the 2012 Olympic Games qualifiers on Wednesday. “We know that our mission against Egypt will be difficult. Egypt played a fine football but we are ready for this game,'' he told the Ivorian football federation website. “We will concentrate on this game, which is a key one in the group.” The Elephants opened their U-23 African Championship campaign with a 1-1 draw with South Africa while Egypt laboured to a 1-0 win over Gabon in Group B. Ivory Coast are looking for a win over leaders Egypt to keep alive their chances of booking a last-four berth. “We respect the Egyptian team. They appeared pacey against Gabon. It will be a tough game resembling a final. “We will do our best to make a good result against Egypt to keep our hopes alive in the competition. I am confident, why would we fear Egypt?” Moussa added. The tournament winners, runners-up and third-placed team will directly qualify for next year's London Games. The fourth-placed side will have to overcome an Asian representative in a playoff to go through.
