Egypt full-back Ahmed Elmohamady scored his first goal ever for Sunderland to salvage a 2-2 home draw against West Brom in the English Premier League on Saturday. He notched the equalizer on 27 minutes to help the Black Cats overturn their two-goal trailing, following early strikes from James Morrison and Shane Long. A pinpoint diagonal cross from Nicklas Bendtner, who scored the first goal, found Elmohamady inside the area and the Egyptian headed home in superb fashion to send the home fans into raptures. Elmohamady, who was substituted eight minutes from the end, was deployed as a right midfielder as manager Steve Bruce relied on the services of John O'Shea in the right back position. The draw kept Sunderland in 14th place on six points, only a couple of points off the bottom three. Bruce's side will visit Arsenal at the Emirates after the international break.
