Ahli have accepted loan offers for outcast duo Ahmed Shokri and Abdul-Hamid Shabana from Egyptian Premier League newcomers Bani Suef Telephones. “The pair will join Bani Suef on loan. Shokri for one season and Shabana for two,” first-team coordinator Hadi Khashaba told FilGoal.com. “It is an ideal time for them to go on loan and get some first-team action, so that they can be fit to return to Ahli.” Youngster Shokri is set to sign a new deal with Ahli, while Shabana has a contract until the summer of 2015 with the Reds. Shabana, however, is unlikely to return to the Red Devils after finishing his loan spell, following the recent turmoil with the management due to his lack of first-team football. Meanwhile, Bani Suef have also snapped up former Ahli skipper Shadi Mohamed on a free transfer. Shadi, 33, left Ismaili this summer after one season with the beleaguered coastal club.
