Fabio injured in Ahli friendly win

Ahli striker Fabio Junior has become doubtful for next week's Champions League tie at MC Alger after twisting his ankle in Monday's friendly win over Police Union.
Fabio was handed a starting role by Manuel Jose in an attempt to improve his fitness, only for the Brazilian to go off injured in the 90th minute of the 2-1 victory.
According to Ahli doctor Walid Abdul-Baqi, the 28-year-old will have a fitness test by the end of the week to determine whether he will be included in the Algiers trip or not.
Even though the night ended in frustration for one summer signing, another new striker registered his maiden goal as Al-Sayed Hamdi his Ahli account from the spot.
Fit-again goalkeeper Sherif Ekrami saved a penalty from Ahli-target Ahmed Dweidar, but the former was guilty of putting the ball into his own net for Police's equalizer in the second half.
Five minutes from time, striker Mohamed Fadl won the game for Ahli after replacing Hamdi at half time.
