Masri have decided to offer coach Taha Basri a permanent deal after he guided the club to five league wins out of seven since taking charge temporarily. “The board has decided to extend Basri's deal after the significant improvement in the team's performance,” Masri chairman Kamel Abou-Ali told FilGoal.com. Basri's side only dropped four points from two draws with Military Production and Ismaili since the former Zamalek star had taken charge last month. The sixth-placed Port-Said club has yet to concede any goals with the veteran manager. Talks with Ahli Meanwhile, president Abou-Ali is visiting league champions Ahli to enquire about the availability of some players targeted by his club. “I will meet with (vice-president) Mahmoud Al-Khatib and (marketing director) Adli Al-Qaeyi to talk about a few players that we want,” the Masri chief said. Masri, who signed long-serving goalkeeper Amir Abdul-Hamid from Ahli in 2010, made a number of major signings last summer including Mahmoud Abdul-Hakim and Ihab Al-Masri.
