Ahli defense pillar Wael Gomaa has resumed full training and should be fit for next week's league clash with ENPPI, the league champions said. Gomaa picked up a knee injury in last weekend's win over Petrojet, after which he had a scan to determine the extent of the problem. The 35-year-old is now set to retain his place in Ahli's three-man backline with Ahmed Al-Sayed and Sherif Abdul-Fadil. Meanwhile, injured duo Mohamed Abou-Treika and Mohamed Shawky have gradually began to be involved in general training. Star midfielder Abou-Treika has been out of action for more than a month due to a recurred calf injury, while Shawky has a knee problem.
