Gomaa to have scan on knee

Ahli defense star Wael Gomaa will have a knee scan this week to determine whether he will be available for the Reds' next match or not.
The veteran center-half complained from his knee after last weekend's win over Petrojet and is now hoping to be fit for the clash against ENPPI next week.
“He will have a scan on Tuesday to see if he can play or not,” Ahli doctor Walid Abdul-Baqi told FilGoal.com.
Gomaa has been the cornerstone of Ahli's backline during the past few years, while also being regarded as the number one center-half for Egypt.

Meanwhile, FilGoal.com has learnt that Ahli are close to signing striker Hussein Hamdi from MCDR ahead of the Champions League group stage in mid-July.
The deal involves the permanent move of on-loan midfielder Mahmoud Toba to the league's newcomers.
Hamdi, 25, scored seven goals for the over-achieving MCDR in the Egyptian Premier League so far this term.
