Foreign referees will be in charge of both games for Zamalek and Ahli this weekend, the Egyptian FA said. Zamalek will play Police Union on Thursday while Ahli take on Petrojet one day later. "We understand the volatile situation and decided to depend on foreign officials just for this matchday," a statement on the official website of the FA read. The nationalities of these referees were not announced but the FA said they will be African or from the Arab world. Ahli and Zamalek are joint top of the league tables, and both were complaining recently over poor refereeing from Egyptian officials.
