Switzerland's Sion surprisingly announced they had secured the services of Ahli-target Mohamed Traore from Club Africain on a four-year deal starting next season. The Mali striker, whose contract with Tunisian side Africain runs out by the end of the term, was heavily linked with a winter move to Ahli a few days ago. There is no love lost between the Cairo giants and Sion, thanks to Essam Al-Hadari's move to the latter club in 2008. The Egypt goalie unilaterally annulled his contract with Ahli at the time to complete the deal, which later caused him to be fined and banned for four months. The Red Devils have been on the lookout for a foreign hitman amid the continuous injuries of Francis Doe, Mohamed Fadl and Osama Hosni. League holders Ahli, who recently dispensed with Lebanese striker Mohamed Ghaddar, will also add highly-rated marksman Emad Meteb to their roster in the second half of the season.
