Ajax manager Martin Jol admitted that his team were no match to Real Madrid, following Wednesday's Champions League defeat in Spain. The Amsterdammers were beaten 2-0 in their return to Europe's top competition, but Jol believes his side were fortunate not to concede more. "This match was men against boys," said the Dutch tactician after the game. "Luckily we had Maarten Stekelenburg standing tall, and that's why it was only 2-0 in the end. We fell short in every department. "At 1-0 you hope you can still do something but tonight that just wasn't the case. "When Cristiano Ronaldo finds his range he will score three goals in a game like this. It was an annoying and tough evening. "We will have to learn from this experience for our next match against AC Milan." Ajax missed marksman Luis Suarez due to suspension, even so new signing Mido was not fit enough to make his debut. The Dutch giants play their next game against Milan, who beat Auxerre 2-0, on September the 28th.
