Mido misses out on Ajax cup opener

Mido has once again been excluded from Ajax's squad for Wednesday's Dutch Cup opener against MVV Maastricht as manager Martin Jol intends to play with a full-strength team against the lower division side.
Mido has yet to make his second debut for the Amsterdammers since joining from Middlesbrough last month as he was working on his match fitness.
The 27-year-old's exclusion comes despite the suspension of Ajax marksman Luis Suarez.
Manager Jol said on the club's official site that he won't be making big changes in the team's quest to defend their cup title.
Jol's men face two tough challenges after the MVV tie, as they visit Dutch champions Twente at the weekend before clashing with AC Milan in the Champions League next week.
