France manager Laurent Blanc has called up 22 players for next week's friendly with Norway after leaving out the whole World Cup squad. Blanc, who took over from Raymond Domenech after France's dismal World Cup campaign, punished the 23 players who went on strike ahead of the final match against South Africa. The World Cup winner named 13 uncapped players, while recalling the likes of Karim Benzema, Samir Nasri and Philippe Mexes. Les Bleus will open their EURO 2012 qualifying campaign against Belarus on September 3rd.
