Zamalek have started taking legal action against Egypt forward Geddo by filing a complaint to the Egyptian FA, claiming their right in the new Ahli signing. Geddo admitted signing a contract with Zamalek before he penned an extension with his old club Ittihad in January. The 26-year-old eventually joined Ahli from the Alexandrian outfit this summer, much to the frustration of Zamalek. The Cairo club remained silent in recent weeks, which saw Geddo complete his Ahli move, but don't seem to be giving up on their claimed right after all. Three points "Our complaint to the FA is based on three points that prove our right in acquiring Geddo," Zamalek marketing director Ashraf Sobhi told FilGoal.com. "First, Geddo signed a new contract with Ittihad in January even though there was a transfer embargo against the club, which means they were not allowed to make contract extensions. "Ittihad registered Geddo in this season's primary squad, and this is against the regulations because he should have been treated as a new signing. "Finally, we presented all the documents that include Geddo's signature for us to the FA." Geddo is expected to be named in Ahli's CAF Champions League roster ahead of the group stage opener with Heartland on July 17th. Should he play his first competitive game for Ahli against the Nigerian outfit, Zamalek will face an uphill task in their battle for the CAN 2010 top scorer.
