England coach Fabio Capello believes that Frank Lampard's disallowed goal would have been a turning point in the Three Lions' 4-1 World Cup loss to Germany on Sunday. The score line was 2-1 when Chelsea ace Lampard saw his drive hit the bar and clearly cross the line, but official Jorge Larrionda and linesman Mauricio Espinosa denied the legitimate goal. Capello admitted that his men were not up to scratch but lamented the referee's wrong decision. "It was one of the most important things in the game," said the Italian tactician."The goal was very important. We could have played a different style. "We played I think well at 2-1, but after the third goal it was a little bit disappointing. "We played well. Germany is a big team. They played a good game. We made some mistakes when they played the counter-attack. The referee made bigger mistakes. "Little things decide the result always." When asked whether he will hand in his resignation as England boss after the one-time World champions' elimination from the last 16, Capello said: "Absolutely no. We have to wait until I get back to London. "I have time to decide and I have to speak with the FA chairman (Sir Dave Richards)."
