Bayern Munich secured a slender Champions League semi-final lead over Lyon after beating the French side 1-0 at Allianz Arena on Wednesday. Once again, Arjen Robben was the man of the moment for the Bavarians, scoring the winning goal with a stunning shot on 69 minutes. Both sides were reduced to ten men during the game as France internationals Franck Ribery and Jeremy Toulalan went off for early baths. Ribery was given straight red after just 37 minutes for stamping on Lisandro Lopez's foot, whereas Toulalan picked up two cautions in the space of three minutes after the break. The return leg will take place in Lyon next Tuesday. In the other tie, Inter Milan earned themselves a good advantage over Barcelona after beating the defending champions 3-1 at San Siro on Tuesday.
