Wayne Rooney scored twice again as Manchester United routed AC Milan 4-0 at home on Wednesday to qualify for the Champions League quarter finals with a 7-2 aggregate win. The England in-form striker also bagged a brace in the first leg which United won 3-2 at the San Siro. He maintained his superb displays to open the scoring in the 13th minute after heading home a pinpoint cross from Gary Neville. He put the result beyond doubt one minute after the restart with a clinical finish after being fed by a superb pass from Portuguese winger Nani. Park Ji-Sung added the third in the 59th minute after being set up by Paul Scholes and Darren Fletcher completed the rout late in the game with a deft header at the far post. Milan midfielder David Beckham started on the bench before being introduced in the 65th minute to face his former side for the first time at Old Trafford. The 34-year-old, who left United for Real Madrid in 2003, was given a standing ovation by the home fans. "The reception was unbelievable. I have to say thank you, the way the fans were to me was really incredible. It's nice to be back," Beckham said after the game.
