Zamalek will get a warm reception when they face Ittihad away on Monday despite the ongoing conflict between both sides over Geddo, the Alexandrian club's chairman said on Friday. "A club of Zamalek's caliber should be greatly welcomed in Alexandria," Mohamed Moselhi told FilGoal.com. "They will get a warm and friendly reception once they arrive in Alexandria." Egypt forward Geddo has been in the middle of a tug-of-war between Ittihad and Zamalek over who own his registration since the Cairo side said he signed a deal to join them next season. Geddo, who extended his Ittihad contract, admitted that he signed for Zamalek but pleaded with them not to take a legal action against him. Zamalek vowed to 'do their utmost to preserve their rights' while the Egyptian FA initially said Geddo would remain with Ittihad beyond this season but backtracked on their stance few days later, saying that a final decision has yet to be taken. Both sides meet in the Egyptian Premier League on Monday amid fears over crowd troubles. "We have strong ties with Zamalek that will not be affected by such matters," Moselhi added. "There will not be any crowd troubles. Ittihad fans do not intend to insult Zamalek coach Hossam Hassan like what people say." The match will be played at Harras Hodoud's stadium after Ittihad's venue was closed for renovations.
