Real Madrid succumbed to an unexpected 1-0 defeat at Lyon in the UEFA Champions League Knock-out stage on Tuesday.
Jean Makoun notched the only goal in the match on 47 minutes after releasing an unstoppable shot from long range that hit the top corner of the net.
The star-studded Real failed to restore parity, although they carved out a good number of clear-cut opportunities.
Both teams will meet again in the same competition on March 10th at Santiago Bernabeu.
