Hannover 96 have relieved manager Andreas Bergmann of his duties, following a poor run of results in the Bundesliga. "After a series of three consecutive losses and having not won a match in the last seven games, the Hannover board are no longer confident that Andreas Bergmann can turn things around," a club statement read. "Andreas has done a very good job and he guided the team through a very difficult period after the death of Robert Enke. However, our recent performances are not acceptable if we are to prevent the drop to the 2. Bundesliga." Hannover, who were beaten 3-0 at home to Hertha Berlin on Saturday, are currently third from bottom after 18 weeks in the German league.
