Ahli defender Ahmed Al-Sayed faces two months on the sidelines with a broken rib, the club said on Thursday. "The player sustained the injury during training after a collision with teammate Osama Hosni," Ahli said on their website. Stand-in defender Al-Sayed becomes Ahli's latest injury casualty to mount coach Hossam Al-Badri's problems. Al-Badri has already lost influential playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika and holding midfielder Moataz Eno to long-term injuries. Striker Emad Meteb and mercurial midfielder Mohamed Barakat are also struggling with niggling complaints. Ahli's vice-captain Al-Sayed lost his regular place this season following the summer arrival of Sherif Abdul-Fadil. Abdul-Fadil, who joined Ahli from fierce rivals Ismaili, is Al-Badri's preferred choice to partner Egyptian international Wael Gomaa in the heart of the team's defense.
