Ahli defender Ahmed Al-Sayed will be sidelined for up to two weeks due to a knee injury, the Egyptian champions said. Al-Sayed is suffering nursing an inflamed knee after sustaining an injury in the Egyptian league match against Petrojet on Monday. Ahli doctor Ehab Ali said that Al-Sayed will undergo a rehabilitation period and will need 10 to 15 days to recuperate from the injury, the club reported on its website. This is the third injury that the 26-year-old sustains this season. In July, he picked up a groin injury that ruled him out for three months and was hit with a face injury in the game against Ismaili in January. Al-Sayed will miss Ahli's Egyptian Cup game against Petrojet on Sunday and the league game against Al-Gaish on May 13th. Ahli will be officially crowned champions if they beat Al-Gaish, and coach Manuel Jose has called upon his players to rise up to the occasion after a string of dismal performances in the past two weeks.
