England tactician Fabio Capello described Claudio Ranieri's decision to hand Francesco Totti a midfield role as a 'crime'. AS Roma coach Ranieri believes that the veteran hitman became too predictable for challengers, and thus won't deploy him upfront. Capello, however, insists that former Italy star Totti is more influential as a striker. "Totti on a footballing level is something extraordinary. In my opinion, Totti's position is as close to the goal as possible," he told Radio Anch'io Sport. "(Ranieri) can invent something new, but I think that carrying Totti away from the goal would be a crime. "Roma have a great potential, they are one of the teams that should absolutely qualify for the Champions League and they have the potential to do it."
