Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery admitted that his relationship with manager Louis van Gaal is no more than a professional affair. "It's the first time that I haven't really felt close to a coach. There's not much feeling between us at all," the Frenchman said in an interview with L'Equipe. "Our relationship is professional. It was totally different with Ottmar Hitzfeld, for example. He was a real joy to work with and the best coach I've known at Bayern." Ribery excelled under the management of Ottmar Hitzfeld, Jurgen Klinsmann and Jupp Heynckes since joining Bayern from Marseille two seasons ago.
