Amr Zaki has no chance of featuring in Egypt's crucial World Cup qualifier at Rwanda, his agent Nader Shawki said on Monday. The Zamalek striker was not included in the Pharaohs' 23-man squad after picking up a foot injury in his side's 2-2 Egyptian league draw against Arab Contractors. Egypt assistant coach Shawki Gharib, however, said Zaki could be able to recover in time for Saturday's anticipated encounter. But the Bulldozer can't make the trip, agent Shawki insisted. "Zaki will leave Egypt's training camp today after the medical team realized that he needs more time to fully recover," he told FilGoal.com The 26-year-old's absence will add to coach Hassan Shehata's worries over shortage of options upfront. Borussia Dortmund striker Mohamed Zidan was snubbed after failing to show up for Egypt's friendly game against Guinea earlier this month without excuse. Mido, who joined Zamalek from English side Middlesbrough on a season-long loan, is still short of match fitness. Egypt's squad boasts several inexperienced strikers, including ENPPI's Ahmed Raouf and Petrojet's Al-Sayed Hamdi. The six-time African champions lie second in Group C with four points, three behind leaders Algeria with three matches remaining. Only the group winners will qualify for next year's World Cup finals in South Africa.
