Ahli striker Francis Doe could be out for up to three weeks with a hamstring injury, the Cairo club said on Sunday. "Doe is undergoing treatment after tearing a hamstring muscle in the league game against Ghazl Mahalla," Ahli said on their website. "Doctor Ihab Ali estimated that he will be out of action for between two and three weeks." The Liberian striker will now miss Ahli's upcoming league game against Police Union on August 19th. Doe, who joined Ahli in the close season after his contract with America's DC United expired, put in a fine display in Ahli's 2-0 home victory over Mahalla in their league opener. He played as a lone striker and managed to open his Ahli account midway through the second half to wrap up the Red Devils' win. Hani Al-Egeizi, who is yet to establish himself as a first-team regular, could replace Doe against Police.
