Ahli playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika is set to play in Wednesday's league game against Police Union, after he recuperated from a minor injury. The influential midfielder sprained his ankle in Egypt's 3-3 draw with Guinea last week, but he reached full recovery in no time and participated in Sunday's morning training session. "Abou-Treika is 100% fit. He could have taken part in Saturday's training but the coaching staff preferred to rest him for one more day," Ahli chief medic Ihab Ali told the club's official website. On the other hand, substitute marksman Osama Hosni probably won't catch the game against Police due to injury.
Hosni The 27-year-old is suffering from a twisted ankle either, and he's yet to overcome the injury. "Hosni will undergo medical tests on Monday, and the results will make us decide whether or not he will be ready for the game," Ali said. "The pain in his ankle has to go away so as he can get back in action," he added. Newly-signed striker Francis Doe has been ruled out of the game with a hamstring problem, while Mohamed Fadl is also unavailable though injury.
