Egypt coach Hassan Shehata withdrew Ismaili defender Sherif Abdul-Fadil and Zamalek full-back Hazem Emam from the team's final squad for the crunch World Cup qualifier against Algeria. Both men were included in the match's preliminary squad but were left out when Shehata trimmed it to 23 players on Thursday. Ismaili striker Mohamed Mohsen Abou-Greisha was also excluded, as was Arab Contractors' Ihab Al-Masri and Ittihad keeper Al-Hani Soliman. The quintet is also likely to miss out on Egypt's final squad for the Confederations Cup, which kicks off on June 14th in South Africa. Other new faces like Harras Hodoud defender Ahmed Saied 'Ouka' and his club mate Ahmed Abdul-Ghani retained their place in the Pharaohs' squad for Sunday's anticipated tie at Algeria. Borussia Dortmund forward Mohamed Zidan was included but he is uncertain to start the game after suffering a shin bruise during Thursday's training session.
