Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson said that he wasn't happy with his team's performance during the 2-0 win over Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday. United kept clean sheets in both legs against Inter, and despite his happiness with overcoming the Italian champions, Ferguson admitted his team had to work hard for the win. "It was the type of match where we had to play a different type of football. The end result was very good. Good result, not a great performance," Ferguson said after the game. "Inter showed fantastic experience at times and showed that South American mentality and were very difficult to break down." The Scottish tactician considered that despite the average display, he'd still consider eliminating Inter from the Champions League to be an important achievement. "We're playing a magnificently experienced Inter Milan team, who are seven points clear in their league," Ferguson added. "You never get an easy game against the Italians and that proved again tonight."
