Zamalek will play their remaining Egyptian Premier League games at Railways Stadium instead of the Military Academy, the club said on their website on Sunday. The Cairo giants, who used to share Cairo International Stadium with city rivals Ahli, held the majority of their home matches this season at Military Academy. But although the Military Academy's pitch is considered the best one in the league, Zamalek surprisingly decided to switch to Railways Stadium. They didn't disclose the reason behind their decision. Reports indicated that Zamalek are no longer able to pay rent for both Cairo Stadium and Military Academy. Few clubs in Egypt own stadiums, including Masri, ENPPI and Arab Contractors. Others like Ahli, Ittihad and Ismaili pay for the government to use their stadiums.
