Junior Agogo has been left out of Zamalek's squad for the Egyptian Premier League game against Ittihad on Saturday. The Cairo giants did not disclose the reason behind the Ghanaian striker's sudden omission. Agogo took part in Ghana's 2-2 draw with Egypt in Wednesday's friendly game. Mahmoud Abdul-Razek 'Shikabala' was also overlooked following his bust-up with Zamalek fans during the stunning 1-0 defeat to Ghazl Mahalla earlier this month. But the talented winger should return to Zamalek's squad in the following matches after the club declined to ban him, handing him a fine instead. Stand-in keeper Mohamed Abdul-Monsef was a surprising omission as Emad Al-Sayed is set to serve as Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed's backup. Zamalek will be looking to secure a much-needed win over Ittihad to allay fears over the unthinkable possibility of them being relegated to the second division. They lie seventh in the 16-team league table on 21 points, just four above the relegation zone.
