Tunisian midfielder Anis Boujelbene claims he is close to joining Zamalek from Ahli in the winter break. Speaking to Tunisian radio station Jawhara FM, the 30-year-old confirmed recent reports linking him with a move to the White Knights. "I reached an agreement with Zamalek to join them in January, they should only pay a compensation fee to Ahli and then I am free to go," said Boujelbene. "I will be very happy to play for a great club like Zamalek. I will be the first Tunisian to play for Egypt's top two teams as well." Bouja was linked with a move to his former club Sfaxien, in addition to reported interest from Saudi Arabia's Hazm, but he opted for the Zamalek switch. The Tunisian international went down the pecking order in Manuel Jose's roster since his surprise omission from last year's Club World Cup.
Zamalek carry on Mansoura raid On the other hand, Zamalek are in search of a defensive midfielder amid the unsettlement of some of their first team players.
