Wigan have reached an agreement with Mexican outfit Necaxa to sign Colombian international striker Hugo Rodallega. The 23-year-old, who was in talks with Amr Zaki's side since last month, will join the Premiership side this month, according to a Necaxa spokesman. "It is a fact. Hugo is joining Wigan on January 15," Necaxa spokesman Rosendo Duhart said. "I'm afraid I cannot say much more as the board are in Mexico City at the Mexican Football Federation headquarters because the transfer window is closing, but I was told and I can say the transfer has been set." Wigan are in danger of losing any of their strike partners Zaki and Emile Heskey, as the duo is closely watched by some Premiership clubs. Egypt forward Zaki made a name for himself in England after scoring ten Premiership goals for Steve Bruce's team so far this season. Whereas England big man Heskey will run out of contract next summer and is yet to agree a new deal with the Latics.
