Wigan forward Mido indicated how manager Steve Bruce's faith in his ability could have an influence on his performance on the pitch. Bruce snapped up Mido on loan from Middlesbrough last month and the Egyptian looks happy under the management of the former Manchester United captain. "I believe I've reached the part of my career where I need to play for a manager who has a lot of confidence in me and wants to get the best out of me," Mido was quoted by the Manchester Evening News. "I think Steve Bruce has been trying to sign me for some years now, he knows what I can do and that is important to me. Mido is enjoying life at JJB as an extension in the summer looks to be on the cards for the 25-year-old. "There is a great spirit within the Wigan dressing room and a really fantastic self-belief," he added. Mido is ineligible to play for the Latics when they face Boro at the weekend, with compatriot Amr Zaki and Colombian hitman Hugo Rodallega tipped to lead the attack at the Riverside.
