AS Roma defender Christian Panucci said that his team are well capable of beating Lazio in the Rome derby, despite the league table gap between the rivals. While Lazio are fourth, Roma's dismal start of the season saw the team slip into 17th position with eight points from ten games. However, Panucci said that next weekend's derby will be a different affair. "We feel strong and we certainly aren't looking at the League table and crying. Just because we are below Lazio doesn't mean that we feel inferior to them," the Italian international told Sky Sport Italia. "I think the derby is a special game and we need to show enthusiasm to win and to get out of this tough moment." After failing to win any of their last five league games, the Lupi registered a fashionable 3-1 win over Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League on November 4th. "We are doing much better now and we have made the best possible preparations for the game," added the 35-year-old. It is worth mentioning that the Roman enemies have met 162 times before in all competitions, with Roma winning 58 times and losing on 45 occasions.
