Ismaili keeper Mohamed Sobhi said the team's fans provoked him to the extent that he was forced to make an insulting gesture towards them in the midweek game against Busaiteen. The home crowd persistently booed Sobhi during Ismaili's 4-1 victory over the Bahrain side in the second-leg of the Arab Champions League round of 32. “I lost my temper due to the fans' behavior,” he told FilGoal.com on Thursday. “I was forced to reply and I had a chance to do so when I blocked a penalty for Busaiteen. The fans should show more respect for us if we are to behave well.” The 27-year-old guardian stirred anger among Ismaili fans when his faults allowed Police Union to defeat the Dervishes 2-0 in the Egyptian League last week. Despite being Ismaili's first-choice goalie for more than seven years, Sobhi never really impressed between the sticks. He was often criticized for lack of consistency as well as committing dreadful errors in high-profile games.
