Real Madrid coach and club right back Sergio Ramos have ended the minor row that occurred between the two after the latter publicly criticized his coach. Ramos expressed his dismay at being the only right wing player within the team, and the player's statements cost him his place against Atheltic Bilbao on Sunday. "It might have been a mistake to say what I said in the press, but I don't regret it because it was the truth," Ramos was quoted as saying by AS. After clearing the air with Ramos, Schuster said that he understood where the player came from.
Schuster announced his support for Ramos "Ramos was honest about what he said, but sometimes it's not right to say everything you feel publicly," Schuster told AS. "I agree with him (Ramos) that the club is missing a right winger, but I've already asked the board to find a fill that gap with a new acquisition." The German coach concluded his talk by encouraging Ramos, confirming that he will always be willing to listen to any player's concerns. "Talking to the press doesn't fix anything. My door is open for Ramos and any other player to talk. "Ramos always believed in us and that's why we'll always believe in him. He is a first team player and we want him to be at his best for the club," said Schuster.
