Struggling side Tersana grabbed their second win of the season after beating Masri 2-1 at home in the Egyptian League on Saturday. Striker Mohamed Hassib put the hosts in front after 18 minutes when he went one-on-one with the keeper before slotting home with aplomb. Defender Mohamed Gaber drew Masri level in the 31st minute when he towered at the near post to head a right-wing free-kick past the motionless keeper. But Masri's hopes of ending a four-match winless streak were dealt a major blow when Bahaa Ahmed received his marching orders for collecting a second booking 10 minutes after the break. Tersana capitalized on their numerical advantage to notch the winner in the 70th minute. Hassib was felled by Masri's keeper George Owu as the referee pointed to the spot. The Ghanaian keeper blocked Ahed Abdul-Maguid's initial spot-kick but the striker reacted quickly to score on the rebound. He took his tally to four goals this season. The win eased the pressure on Tersana coach Mohamed Salah as the Hammers jumped to the 13th place on seven points. Although Masri made a bright start to their campaign, with many pundits tipping them for a top-four finish, they suffered a sudden dip in form. The Port Said-based club, who are managed by the temperamental Hossam Hassan, slipped to ninth spot with eight points.
