Struggling side Tersana held Arab Contractors to a 1-1 home draw in the Egyptian League on Saturday. Defender Sayed Abdul-Moghni fired the hosts in front midway through the first half. His attempted cross from a right-wing free-kick flew past Contractors' badly-position keeper. Mohamed Gamal drew the visitors level just before the break when he converted a penalty after Ehab Al-Masri was felled inside the area. Tersana, who lie second from bottom on 11 points, are yet to taste defeat since the appointment of coach Mohamed Omar. Omar, who replaced Mohamed Salah last month, steered Tersana to an emphatic 4-1 victory over Olympic in his debut. One-time Egyptian champions Contractors are seventh in the table with 16 points. Elsewhere, Ittihad extended their winless run to five matches following a drab goalless draw with Asyut Petroleum. Ittihad players were jeered off the pitch after failing to put in a convincing display.
