Masri, who got off their Egyptian League campaign to a flying start, stumbled again after being held to a 2-2 draw by Arab Contractors in Port Said on Thursday. After winning two successive games, Masri slumped to a 2-1 defeat to Zamalek on Sunday. They faltered again four days later. Hossam Hassan's men are second in the league table with seven points. Ismaili, Zamalek and ENPPI could overtake them when they play their respective games in the ongoing round. Contractors, who held title holders Ahli to a goalless draw few days ago, are seventh on five points. Masri went in front as early as the third minute when diminutive left-back Ahmed Shedid converted a penalty. But one-time Egyptian champions contractors turned the tables just before the break. One minute from the break, Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Kyere whipped in a cross from the right that eluded Masri keeper George Owu. The ball then fell to Masri defender Mohamed Hafez, who diverted the ball into his own net instead of clearing it. Salah Amin put Contractors ahead in the first-half's additional time when he controlled a long ball inside the opponents' area. Amin cut past his marker, Bahaa Ahmed, before firing home from close range. But 20-year-old striker Ahmed Osman 'Belia' saved Masri's blushes in the 73rd minute when he towered above Kyere at the far post to head home Wagih Abdul-Azim's free kick.
