Real Madrid consider making a bid for Bayern Munich forward Lukas Podolski in the January transfer window, Spanish daily Marca said on Saturday. The Spanish champions are lining up the 23-year-old as a replacement for Brazilian winger Robinho, who joined English side Manchester City. According to Marca, Podolski would be ready to leave the Allianz Arena as he is growing increasingly frustrated with lack of first-team opportunities. Bayern coach Jurgen Klinsmann prefers to field Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose upfront despite Podolski's impressive displays with Germany at EURO 2008. Podolski scored three goals to help eventual runners-up Germany reach the final.
