Ahli beat Dynamos to approach CL semis
Published in FilGoal on 30 - 08 - 2008

Mohamed Barakat scored the only goal in Harare as Ahli are almost ensured of a CAF Champions League semi-finals place at the expense of Dynamos.
The Reds are now clear on top of Group A with ten points, six more than Egyptian arch-rivals Zamalek, who will face ASEC Mimosas on Sunday.
Ahli, who were present in the final of the competition during the past three years, will go through if Zamalek didn't lose in Abdijan.
The Egyptian champions' line-up included Mohamed Abou-Treika for the first time this season, but Ahmed Hassan had to settle for a bench role once again.
After ten minutes, the slick Abou-Treika sent Barakat clear on goal with a trade-mark through pass and the latter steered home a to beat Willardd Manyatera.
Tackles were flying at Rufaro Stadium as the referee had to show his yellow card three times inside the first 17 minutes.
Midway through the first half, the lively Abou-Treika came close to scoring a spectacular strike, but his effort was parried by the Dynamos keeper.
Ahli were unlucky to have another goal dubiously disallowed before half-time, this time Gilberto was on target.
On the hour mark, Ahmed Hassan came on for Flavio Amado as Manuel Jose was looking to keep possession in midfield.
Ahli held on to their lead to secure three precious points and make life more difficult for quarter-finals debutants Dynamos.
